As partner with the Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships, the Ontario Pond Hockey Championships are the Ontario Regional Qualifier for the Source for Sports Canadian National Pond Hockey Championship at Deerhurst Resort.  The partnership between Drive Marketing, owners and manager of the Canadian Championships, and HCA has positively impacted what the teams will be playing for. The winner of the 2008 Ontario Regional event, Cracked Ice,  receive an automatic entry into the 2009 National Championships at Deerhurst Resort, which includes entry fee plus their prize package.  In addition, the teams that placed second, third and fourth at Valens will be guaranteed a spot at next year’s nationals as well, but will pay registration fees
